super switch exchange

The Super Switch eXchange is a next-generation, carrier-grade collocation switching facility in Los Angeles that provides last-mile connectivity for telecommunications carriers in Asia and the U.S. to easily create a presence in each other's markets by leasing space within the exchange. By locating a switch on the exchange, telecommunications carriers on either side of the Pacific can instantly and inexpensively create a point-of-presence in the U.S. and connect to hundreds of other carriers through Vertex’s established network. In addition to providing voice/data wholesale and trading services, SSX provides its customers with engineering outsourcing services.

Many Tier 1 and Tier 2 Asian telecommunications companies are already collocated in the facility, and the major U.S. carriers are joined by several other large local exchange carriers, extending their fiber to have "on-net" presence in Vertex SSX's facilities to terminate calls in the U.S.

Vertex SSX also hosts a state-of-the-art Network Operation Center, responsible for maintaining network reliability and delivering superior services to Vertex sibling companies and its end customers, major telecom carrier clients, and offshore television media clients, 24/7. It stands two stories, occupying 11,000 square feet, and houses a carrier-grade data center and equipments. The NOC was designed and equipped to maximize visibility, control, and security for the overall Vertex network.
